The Jeep Wrangler is looking to win over new and existing customers by introducing a new V8 engine. Underneath the hood of the 392 Rubicon sits a 470-horsepower engine. This V8 will come in a vast 6.4 litres. Raw pulling power is also on deck as this V8 will produce up to 470 pound-feet of torque. All of this power is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It takes an estimated 4.5 seconds to reach 96.561 km/h.
Also, the Wrangler V8 is equipped with a unique feature. This particular V8 is fitted with a cylinder deactivation system, which works excellent to conserve fuel. This deactivation system will automatically shut down at least four cylinders when full power isn’t needed.
The vehicle’s bonnet is equipped with a bulging hood scoop. This hood scoop is great for aesthetics, but it serves a more viable purpose by providing a secondary air path to reach the engine. This will come in handy if the scoop’s opening becomes clogged with snow or mud. The Rubicon 392 also sits at least 2 inches higher than standard models.
